Lefty (Al Pacino from The Godfather and Scarface) meets Sonny (Michael Madson from Reservoir Dogs) and his men, and Sonny offers him a lion, and announces to him that he is his boss now. Lefty leaves with the lion and meets Donnie (Johnny Depp from Edward Scissorhands, Arizona Dream and Pirates of the Caribbean), with whom he feeds the lion.

Joseph Pistone (Johnny Depp from Edward Scissorhands, Arizona Dream and Pirates of the Caribbean) is an FBI agent who has infiltrated one of the major New York Mafia families and is living under the name Donnie Brasco. He develops a relationship with mob hit man Benjamin "Lefty" Ruggiero (Al Pacino from The Godfather and Scarface) in order to get deeper under cover, but ends up developing a real friendship with the Mafioso. As their relationship develops, Pistone must decide whether or not to complete his job, knowing that it will lead to the murder of his new friend.
