An original song based on the Jack and the Beanstalk story
Jack and the Beanstalk
My name is Jack, you may have heard of me
Once upon a time we had no money
So my mummy sent me to sell the cow
And I ended up with 5 beans; this is how
An old man stopped me on the road to town
I tried to sell the cow but all he did was frown
"What you need, my son, are these magic beans
You wont regret it; they're not what they seem"
And its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
Its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
And it all turned out OK... in the end
Well, my mum was mad as mad as can be
She threw out the beans and didn't cook me tea
So I went to bed, hungry and alone
And in the morning a great big beanstalk had grown
I had an urge to climb, that's all I can say
Up, up, up I went, up, up and away
Till I came to the very top, the clouds were the floor
And right in front of me was a big, giant door
And its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
Its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
And it all turned out OK... in the end
I snuck right in and I felt so small
Everything was big, everything was tall
And sleeping on the table, snoring real loud
Was A great big giant with his head bowed
Next to the giant a magic hen sat
She laid golden eggs, I'd heard about that
I knew I had to have her, I knew she help me out
So I reached up and took her without any doubt
And its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
Its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
And it all turned out OK... in the end
The hen made a squawk and a lute made a shout
The giant woke up and looked about
I ran, ran, ran but my legs felt so small
And the giant chased me yelling this call
"Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum, Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum,
I smell the blood of an Englishman,
Be he alive or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread."
And its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
Its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
And it all turned out OK... in the end
I ran, ran, ran to the big beanstalk
I climbed, climbed, climbed as the golden hen squawked
I almost slipped and lost my feet as I felt the wind blow
The giant was right behind, I could almost feel his toes
My mum was at the bottom and as soon as I got down
She chop, chop, chop, chopped the big beanstalk down
And every day after the hen laid a golden egg
And we all lived happily ever after in the end
And its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
Its 1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
1,2,3,4,5 beans for me
And it all turned out OK... in the end
