I purchased a worn out pair of Allen Edmonds cap toe Derbies with the intent of using them to practice on and see if I could re-sole shoes myself. As you'll see in the video, it is MUCH harder than it seems! I learned a lot in the process, and hopefully you'll gain some insight and appreciation for the work professional cobblers and shoemakers do. You will also see the details of how a Goodyear Welted shoe is constructed, including how they are stitched from the factory.
